Kinetic energy is the energy acquired by the motion of a object. Kinetic energy can be vibrational energy like when molecules vibrate because of the thermal energy. The other one is rotational energy. Ties on a bike or vehicle have rotational kinetic energy when the roll. The last one is translation kinetic energy which is most common to people such as a car moving, a person running an so on. So kinetic energy can be in 3 forms: rotational, translational and vibrational.
