Well "A" is incorrect, because they were very cultured and built onto knowledge. The second one is also incorrect because the official language was Greek. Plus Charlemagne was crowned emperor by Pope Leo III to rule the Frankish Kingdom. So the correct answer is Christianity as the official religion, or in this instance they were the ones who fathered Orthodox Christianity.
