Many people refer to language that avoids offending people of different religions, races, and sexes as being "politically correct." This term has a negative connotation. People who use the term seem to be saying that we are too concerned about how other people feel, and we should feel free to use words that offend people of different religions, races, or genders. What do you think? Can you think of examples in your own world, and how do you feel about them?
Using words that offend other people is just absurd. I mean- If you use it and dont know/realize the word is bad and offensive, its okay, but if you consciously say the words and even more, direct them towards someone you know could be greatly offended is just stupid. There are, as I'm sure you know, many words that can offend people from a different race/gender. Calling someone out or something rude because of their gender or race is ridiculous. I have tons of examples in which people have said offensive words towards someone of a different race. It was offensive and at that point you just cant believe, an action so little as saying a word can have such a huge, yet negative impact on the person being offended.
thank u so much!
