Help with finding the domain in tangent functions

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

\[f(\theta)=\tan(\frac{ 1 }{ 3 } \pi \theta)+1\]

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

I am confused :C

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

\(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \tan\theta }\) is \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \frac{\sin\theta}{\cos\theta} }\), so the values of \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \theta }\) that make \(\large\color{black}{ \displaystyle \cos\left(\frac{\pi\theta}{3}\right) }\) zero, are your domain restrictions.

OpenStudy (solomonzelman):

no other restriction.

OpenStudy (darkbluechocobo):

@SolomonZelman could you go through the process of this? Because I did not really get what you said. s:
