Which of the following biological processes occurs in a cell's mitochondria?

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

the cell mitochondria is a substrate formed from the breakdown of glucose, fatty acids, and some amino acids. The mitochondria are known as the "power house" of the cell, providing ATP, the cell's "energy currency." They do this via the citric acid cycle and the electron transport chain.

OpenStudy (shiraz14):

@jagr2713: The cell mitochondria are organelles, not substrates. Substrates are reagents/molecules utilized in chemical reactions. Some substrates present in the mitochondria include fumarate, malate, etc.
