How are self-replicating molecules, such as RNA molecules in the “RNA World” hypothesis, essential to the most popular hypotheses about the origin of life on Earth?

When I previously helped you I talked about the RNA World hypothesis which is what we are referring to now. The RNA World hypothesis essentially is that self replicating ribonucleic acid (RNA) were the precursors to all of the life currently on the earth. With RNA being a particularly special molecule that can self replicate and remember genetic code similarly to how DNA does and it also catalyzing chemical reactions similarly to an enzyme protein it is thought that it might at one point been able to remember and replicate itself.
