the 1st sperm cell from the pollen tube reaches the ovary and fuses with the haploid egg cell and forms diploid zygote.. the 2nd sperm cell from the pollen tube now fuses with the diploid secondary nucleus in the embryo sac and forms the triploid endosperm. this process in called as double fertilisation
