Do you understand how to get to that?
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
Or did you take a random guess? =P
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Lol, Random guess
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
haha :)
I will use an example. If I pay $250 for a TV with 7.8% sales tax, what would be the equation?
We can't just use .078*250, because that would just be the amount of sales tax, instead we would use p = .078*250 + 250.

RIght do you want me to do that?

269.5 That is what I got
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
All we would do is substitute the values we know into that equation.

Ok
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
Hmmmm... I am confusing myself now...

OpenStudy (anwaarullah):
option C
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Thanks
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
Yes, I know it is C, like you said @Kamisia , but I am confusing myself on how to get the equation haha

So tax=0.085p
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
and then full price = .085p + p
now I am not confused, thank you @shamim
OpenStudy (shamim):
I know u r making jokes @sleepyjess
OpenStudy (sleepyjess):
