The author uses ethos to attract a (adjective describing particular emotion) in order to (persuade the reader/ sympathize or get the reader to empathize/ to elaborate) on the (subject)
use ethos to capture emotions. After you describe the way ethos applied to the way the author wants it to go you can use it to your essay
the same goes with pathos and logos, just make sure you know the difference between them
