I will medal!!! Name three environmental changes that might affect the organisms in this food chain: dandelion ~ caterpillar ~ frog ~ snake ~ owl. I already have one, it is a drought because if there was a drought, dandelions would die of dehydration and this would affect the whole food chain. Any other ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@iGreen. Lol, sorry for tagging you again!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A drought would affect all of them.

You could also add 'invasive species', this could kill off a lot of the caterpillars, frogs, snakes or owls.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh that is a good one!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now I just need one more..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Maybe, like, a flood but I don't see how that would affect any of them...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you think a flood would work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, that sounds good.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, caterpillars live on the land, and cannot swim, so they would die. Same goes for some snakes and frogs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And animals dying means less food source for predators.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, thank you for the invasive species idea! You might as well be an OS ambassador!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And also the other ones, I didn't see those yet!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol
