the temperature increases. Kylee has also found a linear equation that models the number of people who leave the park early depending on the temperature. Describe how Kylee can combine these two functions into a new function and explain what that function would predict

If the exponential equation gives the number of people entering the park and the linear equation give the number of people leaving, their difference gives the number of people in the park as a function of the temperature, T.

E(T) = exponential function = # visitors
L(T) = linear function = # visitors leaving early
C(T) = combined function = # visitors in park at temperature, T
C(T) = E(T) - L(T)
