When leaving the plant. Dale has a choice of 10 farms to visit. After leaving the first farm, he then has a choice of 9 farms, then 8 farms, and so on. The Fundamental Counting Principle says that the number of combinations is 10 x 9 x 8 x ... x 1, or 10!
