OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
\[\frac {6(a+1)}{(a-3)}\]
Restrictions: \[a \neq 3\]
When a is 3, the expression is undefined because the denominator, when simplified, is 0.

@TheSmartOne would you be able to help me with the last thing for this? I'm not quite sure what would happen....
OpenStudy (haleyelizabeth2017):
The last thing is where I have to explain what would happen if a=2.
TheSmartOne (thesmartone):
We would just plug in a=2 into your simplified area and figure out the value :)

Okie dokie ;) I'll do it on a piece of scratch paper and then I will just explain what I did.....it takes too much room haha the way I organized it (with all of the explanations as well) made this question a whole page long.....
