Algebra Help Please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Choose the equation below that represents the line passing through the point (2, -5) with a slope of -3. y = -3x - 13 y = -3x + 11 y = -3x + 13 y = -3x + 1

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

all options have the same slope so now we need to find b plug (2,-5) into y=-3x+b to find b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do i plug what into what lol

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

slope intercept form y=mx+b m=-3 plug in 2 and -5 for x and y respectively

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pooja195 are you right or worn @acxbox22 are you write or wrong lol i am so confused to different are telling me two different things

pooja195 (pooja195):

@acxbox22 is right listen to him

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

lol @pooja195 was using point slope form thats all but my way is simpler

pooja195 (pooja195):

Right but they dont have 2 coordinates so you cant use that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok i believe the answer is d am in right @acxbox22 @pooja195

pooja195 (pooja195):

yes thats right good job :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
