The earth has a magnetic north and south. How does this help up with evidence to support the theory of Continental Drift? @iambatman

Well the short answer is, magnetic reversals helped confirm seafloor spreading, which was confirmed by magnetic anomalies in the ocean crust that were parallel and symmetric around the ocean ridges, which indicated new oceanic crust formed along the spreading ridges.
