Medal Simplify. 1/2 * ( 5/6 − 3/4) + 5/8

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

1/2 * (5/6 - 3/4) + 5/8 --- do what is in parenthesis first..LCM is 12 1/2 * (10/12 - 9/12) + 5/8 1/2 * 1/12 + 5/8 -- now do multiplication 1/24 + 5/8 -- now add ... LCM is 24 1/24 + 15/24 = 16/24 which reduces to 2/3
