Make this sound Human Analysis When the water got warmer, the sound moved faster. At 7u00b0C, the sound was slower, but at 35u00b0C, it was way faster. So, warm water makes sound go quicker. When the water had more salt in it, the sound also moved faster. The more salt there was, the quicker the sound waves went. That means saltier water helps sound travel faster. Conclusion This lab showed me that sound moves faster in warm and salty water. When the temperature or salt levels went up, the sound waves sped up. Thatu2019s important for animals like whales and dolphins because they use sound to talk and find food. If the ocean gets warmer, their sounds might travel farther. But if the ocean gets less salty from melting ice, it could make it harder for them to use sound. That might make things more difficult for animals like beluga whales in the Arctic.
