The equation and graph of a polynomial are shown below. The graph reaches its maximum when the value of x is -2. What is the y-value of this maximum? the equation y=-x^2-4x-1 I think it's -2. Am I right?

The question is asking you to evaluate at \(x = -2\). Your equation is \(f(x) = -x^2 -4x - 1\) What is the value when \(x=-2\)? \[f(-2) = -(-2)^2 - 4(-2) -1\] Hint: it does not equal to your guess of \(-2\).
