Graphing Linear equations?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got this right on the test but I only guessed and I want to know the right way to graph it. Qu: Graph -x - 2y = 6.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer was this but I honestly have no idea to get there

OpenStudy (doc.brown):

Get y by itself. You want to know what happens to y when x changes.

I got this far but, it doesnt make sense? The slope in the right graph is 3/4 and what I have doesnt make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3/4*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Your answer looks right to me, the slope isn't -3/4, it's -1/2.

The test mustve been bugged or something then. ill talk to my teacher about it. Thanks ^^
