How can I use a half-shaft (steel) with splines on a matched wheel hub made of aluminium (6061-T6)?
The steel will cause the female splines of Aluminium to wear away pretty easily. Have heard of methods like shot-peening and case-hardening, but how effective would they be.

ive done shot-peening before it lasted as long as i had the truck (4-years)
