ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

factor numerator and cancel

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

(x^2-4)/(x-2) = x+2 yes ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes :) so we would cross out the x-2 and get x+2=x+2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhhh im sorry no no i understand you meant that's what we get after factoring

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

plugin x = 2 f(x) = x+2 f(2) = 2+2 =4 but in option B you have f(2) = 3 so clearly the function defined in option B is not continuous

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh got it! i think i got: c :)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

C is right!
