What are the possible effects of contaminated water on the health of an individual or community? Explain your answer in terms of what causes the contamination, the types of infectious agents involved in the related diseases, and how these diseases can spread. People’s choices can sometimes have negative effects on their own health, as well as the health or well-being of others. Describe two of these choices, explaining how they can impact the individual and others.

Depends on the contaminants. But, since most water goes through underground filters and essentially is passed around, if the source of water is contaminated, it can affect a city.
water contamination can occur in variety of ways like acid rains, industrial wastes being thrown in water, people littering water, etc. So Contaminated water contains alot of infections agents like some viruses, bacteria, fungi, protozoa, etc. there are some bacterial species like salmonella, streptococcus, staphylococcus and Escherichia, etc. viral species include retroviruses, hepatitis A viruses etc, and protozoas like Cryptosporidium, Giardia, etc species. which cause many diseases. People's choices affect them and others in a way that if they choose to live in an unhygienic condition they will get sick due to some disease and they can transmit that disease or pathogen to the people they interact with. also if they wont care for their eating habits they will also effect others because eating bad can also effect their health and so the same way health of others with whom they are interacting.
