PLEASE HELP Part B: In a well-developed paragraph compare Poe’s theme in “The Premature Burial,” to something you’ve experienced, observed, or read about. Be sure to use specifics noted in your reading journal and in your response.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Have you tried writing out a paragraph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no because i dont know the theme :( @inowalst

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Well is "The Premature Burial" a novel or a movie?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a short story.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Did you read that short story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Alright tell me what it was about. What was the main idea? What was the setting, plot, etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The Premature Burial is a short story by Edgar Allen Poe where he explores the narrators fear of being buried alive by examining and explaining examples of this happening to people. Edgar is scared of being buried alive. He is scared of premature burial because he falls into very deep sleeps and thinks that someone will think that he is dead and prematurely bury him. He is afraid to leave his house, and explains how paranoid and scared he is of being buried alive.

OpenStudy (inowalst):

Alright, so having said that, can you compare that to a real life experience?

OpenStudy (inowalst):

..or know someone that went through the same thing? Or heard something similar on the news?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that the theme to the story though

OpenStudy (inowalst):

I dont know, is it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk thats why im asking you

OpenStudy (inowalst):

But I have not read the story. You should have read it, not me.
