The process of chemical cycling is known as a biogeochemical cycle because it A. absorbs the chemical involved from the sediment. B. takes place over a long period of time. C. involves both living and nonliving components. D. withdraws the chemical from the atmosphere as a gas.
Any idea?

The term "biogeochemical" tells us that biological, geological and chemical factors are all involved in the chemical cycling. The components are absorbed from the sediments as well as from atmosphere in the form of gas, it is a time taking process and also both living and nonliving things are involved in it so as all the option are correct I think as every thing is involved in this cycling Option C is the right choice . C. involves both living and nonliving components.
