So,I was just exploring the site when i came across the term 'SMARTCENTS' What are these?
They are money which you get by receiving medals and you can purchase titles by getting a certain amount of Smartcents.
Make sure those smartcents are earned though. ;) @KenichiIvy
I think 1 medal - 1 smartcent and medals are earned :)
Like his title, "Trusted Helper"
Yes, they are :)
Yes, and my other titles 'Encyclopedia for Hire' (earned by getting 50 medals in History) 'Super Librarian' (earned by getting 50 medals in English) and 'Grammar Police' (earned by getting 500 medals in English).
SmartCents- Medals earned in a study group translated to SmartCents. so if you get 50 medals in math you can unlock the *Human Calculator* title to show people how smart you are :D
I hope the link gives you enough info :D
They are for motivation. Who doesn't like to "upgrade" their account to get new name colors, higher smartscore and titles which reflect your dedication to a particular subject? You gain smartcents for every medal you get, regardless of the subject you earned it in. You can unlock titles by getting a fixed amount of medals in a subject. There are 3 tiers, tier 1 costs 50 medals, tier 2 costs 500 medals and tier 3 costs 3000 medals. The trick is to get this amount of medals in 1 subject, but you can also use medals gained in other subject to unlock a title. This sounds a little confusing I guess, so a little example: You earned 3000 medals in mathematics, so you can buy any of the 3 titles. BUT, you decide to try the tier 2 title, which costs 500 smartcents. So now your smartcents balance is 2500. which means you cannot purchase the tier 3 title (3000 smartcents). So you can earn 500 medals in any subject to get the 3000 smartcents required. Hope you'll understand :)
Thanks :)
