@pielover123

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Almost You always start your LaTeX with `\(` and end with`\)`

sammixboo (sammixboo):

End with \) ****

sammixboo (sammixboo):

So let's type something simple... `\(hello\)`

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\({Hello!}\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Woohoo! Now, what if you want to type multiple words. You type `\(hello Sammi!\)` but it will appear with no spaces \(hello Sammi!\) How do you do spaces? Well you type this sign `~` in between each word, so you can type `\(hello~Sammi!\)` which will appear as \(hello~Sammi!\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Give it a try!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\( Hello~Sammi~how~are~you\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You so helpful

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yay! Now we are going to do the different font sizes. Here are the different fonts. Make sure to type the slash too. That is what changes the font. \tiny \small \scriptsize \normalsize \large \Large \LARGE \huge \Huge When you want to change the size fonts, you type the slash and the size at the front of the LaTeX code. So say you want the Huge font, you would type `\(\Huge Hey~Sammi!\)` Make sure to type a space after the font size. Give it a try!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Huge Hey~Sammi\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Woohoo! Now try it with the smallest font size, \tiny

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\tiny hey~sammi!!\)

OpenStudy (conqueror):

`\(\color{blue}{(The)~Conqueror~is~so~amazingly~AWESOME~!!!!!!}\)` Ahhh, I remember the old days when @Abhisar taught me Latex.

OpenStudy (conqueror):

`\(\color{red}{pielover123~has~a~white~picture~which~is~supposed~to~be~transparent.}\)`

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yay =3 @pielover123 Now, we are going to learn different fonts. Here are the different fonts (sorry if I miss some) \sf \bf \frak \it \tt \cal \scr Now here are the oddball fonts. \boldsymbol{ enter text you want here between the brackets } \mathbb{ enter text you want here between the brackets } As you can tell, you enter the text in a bracket instead

sammixboo (sammixboo):

So for the normal fonts, we type that infront of the LaTeX code, like `\(\sf \huge Sammi\)` It doesn't matter what order the font size and font goes, but as long as you space them apart

OpenStudy (conqueror):

`\(\huge\ddot\smile\)` = \(\huge\ddot\smile\) `\(\huge\color{green}\checkmark\)` = \(\huge\color{green}\checkmark\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\sf\Huge Sammi~is~awesome!!! \)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

You can teach pie that after we are finished :o

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Woohoo!

OpenStudy (conqueror):

`\(\huge\dot\smile\)` = \(\huge\dot\smile\) CYCLOPS FTW !!!

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Try it with another font and different font size

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @pielover123 \(\sf\Huge Sammi~is~awesome!!! \) \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Why yes she is :P

sammixboo (sammixboo):

<3

sammixboo (sammixboo):

#LoveSammiDay2k15

OpenStudy (conqueror):

TBH, I never knew how to do the font thing, so I better stay on this post. c;

OpenStudy (conqueror):

\(\cal \huge Mike~the~potato\)

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Sweet !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\large LoveSammiDay\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Normal Size = no font size BTW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Anyways, you understand what I taught you? We are going to move on to colors

OpenStudy (conqueror):

`\(\huge\color{blue}{Hello}\)`

OpenStudy (conqueror):

That's how you do colors.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Conq >_< :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes i do :)@sammixboo

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Well, you already got the medal. :3

OpenStudy (conqueror):

I always teach my latex students to steal latex. Just right click on someone's latex, point at 'show math as', click 'TeX commands' MUAHAHAHAHA

sammixboo (sammixboo):

OK so now, the color code. JUST THE COLOR CODE is \color{ color you want }{ text you want } So let's say you want to have a magenta text color, and want to have "Welcome to SammiWorld" as your text, you would type \color{magenta}{Welcome~to~SammiWorld} Now, you put the font size and font type before the \color, so here is a whole LaTeX code using the color, font size, and font type `\(\cal \large \color{magenta}{Welcome~to~SammiWorld}\)`

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Try it out with a different color. Maybe a different font and font size =3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\large\color{blue}{Hello!}\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Woohoo!

OpenStudy (conqueror):

Lol, he stole my latex. jk

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Yes, that is the basics. There is a bounding box you can do which is really complicated. I will teach you that later though. It's really hard for me to explain. But here is an example of a bounding box \(\huge \rlap{\bbox[3pt, ,border:7px solid magenta ]{\Huge\color{#20bd23}{\rm \fbox{Sammi}}}}\hspace{107pt}\huge \rlap{\bbox[3.5pt, ,border:7px solid magenta ]{\Huge\color{#20bd23}{\rm \fbox{}}}}\)

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Forget that second box, oops

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats cool how do i do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sammi thxs for your help i have to go can we pick this back up in about an hour or so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im back Sammi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@pielover123 I thought I already taught you \(\LaTeX\) today! >;O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My own student has betrayed me... ;C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no i didn't i was letting sammi know that i knew latex and she review it with me xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*Acts suspiciously*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\(\Huge\color{blue}{~you~are~the~best~remember}\) @AnswerMyQuestions And you to @sammixboo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (anonymous):
