An adverb is a word that modifies a verb, adjective, other adverb, determiner, noun phrase, clause, or sentence. Adverbs typically express manner, place, time, frequency, degree, level of certainty, etc., answering questions such as how?, in what way?, when?, where?, and to what extent?. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adverb A gerund is pretty much just a noun that ends in -ing. For example, 'Swimming is so much fun.' swimming would be the gerund in this sentence. Participle is a verb usually ends in -ing or -ed and it acts as a noun. For example, 'Jamie saw her sister walking on the shore.' walking would be the participle. An infinitive is the word 'to' with a verb after it. idk how else to put it but for an example, 'I like to run around' the 'to run' is the infinitive in that sentence. - @esshotwired
