Most people in the United States use feet and miles to measure distance in every day life. Why do scientists in the United States use meters to measure distance? (1) Meters allow scientists to be more accurate in their measurement (2) Science requires special measurements not used in every day life. (3) All scientists use meters to measure distance to help eliminate confusion. (4)Meters are better than feet for measuring objects in motion.
