I need a sentence in the past and future tense using the following. tener éxito,tener ganas de,tener celos,tener la culpa,tener en cuenta,tener suerte,tener confianza, tener sed, tener hambre

I think it will help making sure about the meaning of those expressions:

- *tener exito (en)* = be succesful at/in
- *tener ganas de* = feel like (doing) something
- *tener celos (de)* = feel/be jealous of
- *tener la culpa (de)* = be to blame for
- *tener en cuenta (a [+ name of a person] / -- [or with no preposition])* = bear/keep (something/somebody) in mind / take (something) into account
- *tener suerte (en/con)* = be lucky with something / be lucky to do/be something
- *tener confianza (en)* = trust
- *tener sed* = be thirsty
- *tener hambre* = be hungry


Also, since *tener* is an irregular verb, here are its past and future verb forms, OK? :)

PAST of *tener*

(yo) -- tuve
(tu) -- tuviste
(el/ ella/ Ud.) -- tuvo
(nosotros/ nosotras) -- tuvimos
(vosotros/ vosotras) -- tuvisteis
(ellos/ ellas/ Uds.) -- tuvieron


FUTURE of *tener*

(yo) -- tendre
(tu) -- tendras
(el/ ella/ Ud.) -- tendra

So, just to help you get going (and since there are so many of them), here's an example sentence:

*Tuve exito en mis estudios, gracias a Dios.*
(= I was successful in my studies, thank God.)

and @Alfonso-O I'm not saying you are wrong but, there are different types of spanish,and not every spanish has the same rules that you said, for example: there's mexican spanish, spain spanish, cuban spanish, dominican spanish, venezuelan spanish, puertorican spanish and ect. but the rules you said about spanish, I'm pretty sure you were talking about spain spanish, I'm a puertorican and the things you said aren't used in my country! so @sheajon the answer depends on what spanish you are studyng

One thing I noted, though: in several of your sentences you haven't used any of the *tener* structures you mentioned in the instructions above. So I'm wondering if this is what you're actually being asked in this exercise. (Should you perhaps rewrite those sentences? In any case, I'll tell you which ones...)

10. I'd simply replace *estaba* with *estuve*... so you keep the same verb tense in both of the verb forms (--> *tuve* and *estuve*). But, apart from that, well done!
11. Correct... But perhaps you'd like to try a different structure here, since you've just used *tener hambre* in sentence 10.
12. This is not one of the *tener* structures you mentioned. In any case, just bear in mind that "future" is spelled *futuro* in Spanish. Also, you should delete *deberemos* (you already have *tendremos* as a main verb).


So, from the structures included in the instructions you gave, here are the ones you have used:
*tener frio* (sentence 5)
*tener sed* (sentence 7)
*tener la culpa* (sentence 9)
*tuve hambre* (sentence 10 and 11)
