Assume that the system below is to be solved by the addition method and that you wish to eliminate the x-terms. state the numbers by which you would multiply one or both of the equations 3x+10y=7 -8x-4y=17

just review the process used for the last 4 problems that I know of. the objective is to eliminate x's the coefficients must be equal and opposite to cancel out
