How many flights of stairs should be BETWEEN the first and sixth floor?

If you're going from the first floor the third floor, you cross one flight of stairs to get up to the second floor, and one more flight to get up to the third.

Similarly, there are 5 flights of stairs in between the first and sixth floor.
