Hey guys I am here asking this question basically for advice. I have been basically cheating my way through online school for a couple of month's now and I have been getting A's and B's in my classes but I have had to retake U.S. history because I have failed the finals like 4 times and I don't know what to do because the finals are coming up again and I know I am going to fail them because simply I don't know anything about the course. Plaese help guys tell me if this was a good/bad idea to cheat I know most of you will say bad idea obviously but should I quit this habit of cheating and what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

should I do for finals I can't study because I will just forget everything the next day but I feel really nervous and scared I don't what to do anymore!! :( :( :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have to have to study every day basically till the information is programmed in your head read a vhapter and then read again it is dedication you must put forth I have also cheated here and there but I also try to see how the to get my answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks I will try

OpenStudy (anonymous):

instead of passing the exams u should prefer gaining knowledge about that course and in time u can score outstanding grades if u work hard.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also do what best works for you wether reading, audio books, me personally when I read I have to be alone and in a quiet place

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah

When I also joined online school I have gotten more lazy I am a gamer I know that is probably a big mistake in my life because gaming and stuff like that have lead to my laziness but I dropped out of regular high school to join online school I said to myself that I can do this and it was going to be better for me rather then failing every class in regular school :( :( but since I stay home everyday I am more lazy I stay up really late like 4:00 in the morning then I never get school work done or anything like that I just feel like a drop out and a failure and I am going no where I just don't know what to do to drop these habits I am not confident in anything so idk anymore.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmmm im not sure I was kinda a nerd in school but with no direction I worked in autobody but now with kids and wife they gave me confidence and a direction of what I want I have been able to get out my shell and in my second year of college . not that I recommend having kids before school these have been two grueling long years late nights a lot of sleep deprivation but they motivate me.

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

Try to set up a "study" timetable or day timetable :) It's more effective this way but don't forget to take breaks inbetween studying (but you have to be honest with yourself as well... only take the breaks if you deserve it). Study for a set time and even if it is a short time, it's better to REALLY study for a short time then to spend a long time "studying" where you have your laptop open, facebook open and all other social media :) You also need to get plenty of sleep xD Trust me, it makes a WORLD of difference but also try not to oversleep because that could have the opposite effect and make you groggy throughout the day. good luck :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks @butterflydreamer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's true prolonged studying is bad you will not rememeber and get headaches try 45 min then take a break studies say run or workout also before studying and after to help ease your mind

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I say I want to get things done like I have the fake confidence to do these things like if I wake up and I will be like I am going to do this and when the time comes around it never get's done 0 motivation once so ever parent's don't give a crap about my school work they never say great job or anything when I think I did good they alway's complain about the stuff I never got done then it put's me down then I get in the stage that I don't think I should do this because nobody care's what I do so what's the point? but I will try you're steps. :) :( @butterflydreamer and sam

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

hey.. Keep your chin up :) <3. You'll make it through!! I believe in you. If you think about it, doing all these things will help you get one step closer to a better future right? Don't feel down!. Trust me.. if you just list a few things to do per day, you will do great! And even if you don't do too good, at least you started right? It's better to try then not to!!. I hope my method helps you :). If you set a few tasks each day, you will feel better because you've accomplished something and crossed one thing off your list :)!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok thanks a lot guys if I could I would give you guy's both medals but can't you guy's both have good advice for me. If anyone else wants to give advice then feel free to do so I will be checking and thanking you

Please do not spam the site.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Good advice for you? Here's some advice: Post your questions in the correct subjects.

OpenStudy (fallenangelorchid):

@OpiGeode How is this spam? She asked for advice and I think coming out with this was smart.

OpenStudy (fallenangelorchid):

And posting in the right subjects can be a pain at times, especially when most people are in math subject, so chances are they'll see it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Click "Find more subjects" and chose which one best fits to your question. This shouldn't be in Mathematics. This site is for helping, not giving advice with problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (fallenangelorchid):

Clearly missing the point, Most people are in the Mathematics Subject at this time, not music, or writing, etc. And she was just asking for advice. I'm willing to help anyone in need of advice, in any subject, even if its the wrong one. I mean, she needed help, so give her the help, don't come complaining about, "This is in the wrong subject" so on so forth.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But still, this is for homework help. Not advice. There are many, MANY websites to go to, to ask for advice. This isn't the one. She could go to http://goaskalice.columbia.edu/ Or call those helpline numbers. This site site is not for advice.

OpenStudy (fallenangelorchid):

But asking for advice is still help... Never mind. If your question has been answered @rehvi , then please close this question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its pretty obvious she's searching for pity. And this site is not where to do it. Just look at how many people are on this question then the people who are on the questions of people who actually need help. She's distracting everyone. @rehvi CLOSE THIS QUESTION IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (thegamer007):

yeah

OpenStudy (fallenangelorchid):

Put yourself in her shoes lassie, you probably just don't get it, its her first question as well. "Take it easy, you don't know if its pity or not."

OpenStudy (kainui):

Although this is technically considered spam I think this is important to talk about. I only ask that the conversation is kept civil. If you don't want to talk about this, then leave the question and go to another.
