She stares at her friends and begins to smile
We tell her she's beautiful, she shakes her head in denial
I gaze at her back off in the distance
wanting to prove her wrong, I tried with persistence
Her smile, her tears, her worries and fears
the pain and sadness had grew over the years
She hides it so well, and nobody knows
the secrets she's hidden from friends and foes
I find her singing, and swaying around with her eyes closed
she tells me how "She loves to sit on counters" and how she loves cookie dough
I love her so much, yet i'm so low
I will never be worth her love, or her tears
She runs her fingers through my hair, and tells me she cares
Her smile lightens my day, no matter what people say
She's my sunshine, and all I need is a ray
She begins to smile, and all my worries fade.
