Imperialism is the act of expanding a country's domain of power (over another) through the use of force. European Imperialism was justified by a number of reasons including: -The desire to spread Christianity -The belief of being given the right by God to rule "the uncivilized peoples" -Social Darwinism -The desire to industrialize/trade etc.
