Brutus had the interest of Rome at heart. Although he betrayed his best friend Caesar, he did what was best for Rome. Brutus stabbed Caesar because he knew that the people of Rome would suffer if Caesar was their ruler. Brutus's actions clearly make him a patriot and cannot be considered a traitor.
