OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

Identify a reflecion about the x-axis or a reflection about the y-axis of .......... by observing the equation of the function ..........

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

\[f(x)=\sqrt{-x}\]

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

\[g(x)=-\sqrt{-x}\]

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

A. A reflection about the y-axis. B. A reflection about the x-axis.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

Can you help me ?

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

no one can do this so I really need help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have no idea, sorry.

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

well do u get how i had it written

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

@ganeshie8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ou can graph it, or just think about what is happening to the values, if the output for f(x) is say 5, you are just negating that for g(x) so you get -5, so what axis would that reflect about?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

note the input of f(x) doesn't include positive values for x, because that would end up being sqrt of negative number

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

oh my god i missed youuuuuuu

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

im so stuck dude

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go on desmos and graph both f(x) and g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

https://www.desmos.com/calculator

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

I did that earlier and got A, but I might of did it wrong it was by myself

OpenStudy (howard-wolowitz):

I used graph paper though
