@ganeshie8 may I ask for your help?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

So a person can have 0, 2, 4, ..., 98 acquaintances. That means there are a total of 49 possibilities for the number of acquaintances that a person can have. 49 holes and 100 pigeons one hole must have atleast 3 pigeons

OpenStudy (darkprince14):

um, @ganeshie8 isn't the number of total possibilities 50?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

how ? keep in mind a person cannot have 100 acquaintances because there are only 99 other ppl at the party
