Which pair of rectangles is similar?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hint: they'll look similar, but the corresponding sides will increase or decrease by the same factor i.e. both sides will be multiplied by 2 or both side will be divided by 2

OpenStudy (ilovecake):

I don't get it..... So I have to multiply?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

look at the rectangle on the left. Divide both values by 2. If the first value divided by 2 equals the value on the corresponding edge of the smaller rectangle, (for both sides) then you have a set of similar rectangles. as an example. original rectangle with side 2 and 6 could have a similar rectangle with sides 1 and 3. 2/2=1 and 6/2=3. since the scale factor is /2, they are similar.

Which one is it? I will give you medal.
