What is the approximate circumference of a circle with a diameter of inches? Use A. 628 inches B. 1256 inches C. 1884 inches D. 2512 inches

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't see the number for the diameter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh srry give me a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

400 inches and use 3.14 pi

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@WalkingShark u there?

OpenStudy (nurali):

C=2πr

OpenStudy (nurali):

d=2r

OpenStudy (nurali):

C=πd=π·400≈1256.63706

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1256 inches. A way I use to find the circumference with a given diameter is to divide the diameter by 2. That's your radius. The equation in finding the circumference is 2pir

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u walkingshark gave u medal :) ky

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and i am writing down the work so i can remeber

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@WalkingShark mind if i ask few more questions 2 more cause i have been on doing work and i gettting headace

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Go ahead.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ky

What is the approximate circumference of a circle with a radius of 42.1 km? Use 3.14. A. 5565.4 km B. 1391.3 km C. 264.4 km D. 132.2 km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright so this is a question similar to the one above. Put in the equation I gave you: 2pir 3.14x2(42.1)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ky almost done

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What was your answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

got its C. 264.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes htx now 1 more left ky thats all

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lay it on me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the approximate circumference of the circle? Use 3.14 A. 70.65cm B. 141.3cm C. 282.6cm D. 6358.5cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm guessing there's a picture with this as well?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops and there is a pic circle with radius of of 45cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops and there is a pic circle with radius of of 45cm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's the same equation as above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so? what do i do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Equation 2pir 3.14x2(45)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

282.6 correct? if i am i am glad my brain still works lol i am tired

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep, you got it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well okay thx that all for today thx for ur help have a great day @WalkingShark :)
