563blackghost (563blackghost):

How do you factor this question completely. Can't figure out the GCF.

563blackghost (563blackghost):

\[6a^3 - 10a^2 + 3a -5\]

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

factor by grouping

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

so on 6a^3 and -10a^2 factor out a 2 and a^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[2a ^{2}(3a-5)+(3a-5)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then factor it further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

But, only if you can.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

they have 3a-5 in common so pull it out... you should have (3a-5)(2a^2+1)

563blackghost (563blackghost):

thanx for the help @ThatOneGuy00 and @UsukiDoll
