Cholecystectomy is the surgical removal of the gallbladder to treat gall stones. What effect does this have on digestion? Bile is not secreted by the liver. Normal fat digestion is affected. Digestive enzymes are not produced.

Bile is made in the Liver and stored in the gall bladder. Bile helps with fat digestion. So if you remove the gall bladder, you remove the fat digestion. So fat digestion is affected

You dont completely remove fat digestion, but your body will have a harder time digesting fats
