Help me out with identifying this symbol for Algebra 2 please?
What symbol?
Let me attatch it.
Hm I can't attatch it but it looks like this.... |dw:1424222745696:dw|
Can you help?
can you post the full thing the symbol was in?
That's a variable, "l," for length.
different letters have different meanings in different contexts
heh, cursive...
Oh, I know. But, it's usually for length.
A script L is used in Geometry for slant height.
yeah, I didn't see the letter, I agree with you
I"ve seen it in |dw:1424223058694:dw|
it's just a cursive/script L
Yeah, that means length. It's in the equation for volume.
That is what the attatchment is. It wasn't working at first.
Okay so it's just an L then?
this symbol I'm guessing: \(\Large \ell\) I agree with what everyone else is saying. I agree it's just a fancy way of saying lowercase L. In fact it's a better way since lowercase L looks like a one or an uppercase i.
I actually think L is wrong. I'm typing in what I think the answer is and l is wrong.
is there a way I can copy and paste that symbol from somewhere>
just use a lower case l
Okay thank you :)
