OpenStudy (anonymous):

which has longer wavelengths gamma rays or uv radiation

jagr2713 (jagr2713):

what do you think @Ariarose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gamma rays?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

UV radiation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Just see the picture aaron posted, it says that the gamma rays have higher energy than that of UV rays. Now always remember that more the energy lesser is the wavelength.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh okay, well i said gamma rays at first but then he sent me the picture and i thought i was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i ask you some thing else?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, but would you mind telling me the answer of this question first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gamma rays

OpenStudy (anonymous):

right?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Nerps....It has more energy. More energy means smaller wavelength.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay oops haha, well if it was between yellow light and green light, would green light have the longest wavelength?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Red light has the longest wavelength. It's in the order of VIBGYOR.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gamma rays

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the question im on is telling me to chose between yellow light and green light

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you have any notes that you could use to help. You out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i was absent on that day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats why im struggling with this

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, I told you the order :-) V ------> Smallest wavelength I B G --> Green Y ----> Yellow O R -----> Longest wavelength.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you tried to search it up on google?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh so yellow...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Yes, always remember that mnemonics. "VIBGYOR"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's so right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you welcome

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for x-rays and gamma rays, it would be x-rays right..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes
