What is the slope of the line perpendicular to y = -3x + 8 ? will medal and fan!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well to start off do you know how to find the slope in this equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We multiply the slope by -1, then we flip it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For example, if the slope was -8, we would multiply it by -1, giving us 8, and flip it around. 8 is the same thing as 8/1, so flipping it gives us 1/8. So the perpendicular slope of -8 is 1/8.
