We see that there's a fraction, and we don't like fractions.
So, we times 2 to both sides to get rid of the fraction. \[x-3=-10\]
Now, to find x, we need to add 3 to both sides, because that would neutralize the negative 3.
\[x-3+3=-10+3\]
