In a recent survey, 724 voters indicated that they are in favor of a new city park. The other 250 voters said that they are opposed. Using the survey as a basis, if 40,000 citizens vote next week, how many are likely to be opposed to the new park? Round to the nearest whole number.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so find the probability that a person opposes the park P(opposes) = 250/(250 + 724) to find the expected number of people who oppose out of 40 000 People opposed = 40000 x P(opposed) hope it helps
