OpenStudy (hyperdog3):

How would the density of water change if you measured out ½ cup instead of ¼ cup? Explain your answer in complete sentences.

OpenStudy (hyperdog3):

I was doing an experiment and had to pour 1/4 cup of water just so you are aware. This is one of the observation and conclusion questions it asked. I'm confused though because even if you pour 1/2 cup of water doesn't the density stay the same no matter what?

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Density does NOT change based on the volume of water. Think about it. The formula for density is density=mass/volume If the volume decreases, the mass will also decrease proportionally. Density stays the same.

OpenStudy (hyperdog3):

@dtan5457 Yes that's what I thought, thank you! :)

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Welcome. Feel free to fan and medal and tag me into more questions :)

OpenStudy (hyperdog3):

Will do :-)
