I need someone to please give me some critique on my film review. Thank you. (^~^)

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Well, first of all, here's the movie: http://www.imdb.com/video/withoutabox/vi114688537?ref_=tt_pv_vi_aiv_1 It's only eight minutes long, so it would be cool if you watch it so you could understand the movie review I wrote a bit more.

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

Here's my final review of 'Eye Contact': FINAL REVIEW: 1/5 stars~ "With situations and a story we have all seen before lack of necessary speech, and dramatic music from beginning to end, this film comes to be unoriginal and ultimately boring. We know what it wants to accomplish, but this short film doesn't do it right." 'Do you ever get the feeling you are being watched?' Yes, we do. This short film is about the feeling of being watched, seeing someone, or maybe _something_ that is watching you everywhere you go, everywhere you hide. It starts with a woman doing an exercise, but then a shadow following here everywhere and after a call to 9-1-1, when the police arrive, she is dead. Here's one of the bad things in this short film. Need of narration. Yeah, she's dead, but how did she die? We need words to refine our predictions of what that shadow was. So after that, there is an ending where they were hoping for your jaw to drop, but once you see it, *totally predictable*. Or in other words, disappointed. It wasn't exactly predictable, but ti was disappointing because we have seen this ending before, either in one of those bad horror movies that came out in the late 90s or in some kid's horror show adapted from books. So when you see the ending, you'll just be like "Oh, that was the ending? Psh, yeah whatever." But I guess I have been complaining about this film too much...so let me tell why it deserves that one star. First, the acting was better than expected, especially for a low budget short film like that. Then there was the camera angles. Pretty impressive, created a mildly psychological effect on the film.

OpenStudy (hugsnotughs):

I want someone to give me some critique because my teacher is saying that my review eludes to the film’s narrative elements and theme and suspense techniques, although not much. I want to know what I could do to change this and make it better. Maybe I am a bit too harsh with my review?
