Can 40/57 simplify?

Directrix (directrix):

If 40/57 simplifies, then the two numbers must have a common factor. I'll get the factors of 40 and then you can do those of 57.

Directrix (directrix):

40 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 5 57 =

@plzhelp!?!?

Directrix (directrix):

Neither does 57 @abcdefghijklmq so how does that figure into solving this problem.

OpenStudy (abcdefghijklmq):

well the question was "Can 40/57 simplify?". and no it can't

OpenStudy (abcdefghijklmq):

here is the answer: Fraction: 40 / 57 = (23 * 5) / (3 * 19) is already reduced (simplified) to lowest terms, numerator and denominator are co-prime numbers.

Directrix (directrix):

It is against the OpenStudy Code to give direct answers. @abcdefghijklmq
