OpenStudy (anonymous):

Great! I am reading this study guide for my class yet I am not understanding (in there choice of words) these parts of speech. Can you better explain or give me an example of Verbs and adjectives?

OpenStudy (adamk):

A verb is a word used to describe an action, state, or occurrence, and forming the main part of the predicate of a sentence, such as hear, become, happen.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Oh. My bad then.

OpenStudy (adamk):

An adjective is a word naming an attribute, added to or grammatically related to a noun to modify or describe it. So like "green, tall, slimy, ugly, etc."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok... That was very helpful! Thanks! I am going to jot some of this down...

OpenStudy (adamk):

Yeah, no problem! If you need anymore help just message me, or post another question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):
